Keeping A Promise

Write a story (150-200 words) beginning or ending with the words:
"Sonia picked up the telephone and listened for a short while without saying a word. When she put it down again she knew exactly what she had to do."

Sonia picked up the telephone and listened for a short while without saying a word. When she put it down again she knew exactly what she had to do. She looked up the map from the telephone book and ripped it off. After a while she knew which way to go. She kissed her father gently on the cheek saying that she would be right back.

She was in luck it was a warm summer night, but still she felt a little chilly once in a while. She started to think about if she should have taken her father's coat on her, but came to the conclusion it would be better on him. She started to run thinking about her father, maybe she should try to keep pace.

Finally she saw lights. "A house! I can finally tell someone what has happened and get some help", she said aloud and ran to the door. "Help me!", she banged until an old woman opened the door. "What is the matter, child?". Sonia cried, "My father got some kind of seizure and we ended up in the ditch", she was out of breath but continued, "I tried to call help but the phone in the telephone box was broken…"

"Hello, father", Sonia said and smiled when her father finally woke up in the hospital, "I told you I'd come back".
